Congratulations to Neal Campbell who joins EastSide Arts
This month we say an official, if belated, farewell to our ‘General Manager’ Neal Campbell who has taken up a new role as ‘Cultural Development Manager’ with our friends over at EastSide Arts.
With us from the very beginning in the old Bank building and all through our time at Tower Street, Neal took a leading and ever-expanding role in sorting out the infrastructure of our various temperamental buildings through to our most recent move to Marlborough House and the Shankill Mission Building. From scouting for new buildings to filling in grant applications (and filling in holes), alongside DJ-ing and photographing our events, Neal worked hard to help to grow our organisation to become the largest provider of affordable studios in Northern Ireland. Not to mention being co-founder and former chair of Belfast Tool Library, a unique and popular charity promoting DIY, making, repair and the circular economy in general.
In his new post, Neal is responsible for the strategic and operational management of EastSide Arts, including delivery of their annual festival as well as other year-round activity. And Neal hasn’t completley left us – he is still a member of Vault Artist Studios and a studio holder in our Vault Shankill studio.
We wish him the best of luck.
