Static Bloom

J SHIELDS is an ambient producer and experimental vocalist. Dragos Musat is a visual artist combining digital and traditional mediums. Both artists aim to explore the unseen, and often overseen, beauty of the natural world using electronic elements to build a world via immersive landscapes and ambient music.
The pair will create an ambient audiovisual space focusing on stillness and slowness, as digitally rendered animations bloom and blossom to the soft sounds. An opportunity for restful restoration amongst the hectic flux of the city centre, this exhibition will explore botanical life as a mirror of our own existence, reflecting the shared biological language spoken by human bodies and nature. All forms of life whether botanic or otherwise serve as a resistance to decay and are somewhat connected to our definition of beauty.
